Né à Genève en 1997, Fabian Menor commence à publier des petits strips sur l'actualité, avec un personnage nommé Pancho, dans un journal local genevois, grâce au soutien de Zep.
Il débute une formation de graphiste, et une fois diplômé en 2017, il poursuit ses études à l'ESBDI, École Supérieure de Bande Dessinée et d'Illustration. Pour son travail de diplôme, il réalise un roman graphique sur l'enfance de sa grand-mère qui lui vaut le prix Caran d'Ache, ainsi qu'une publication aux éditions La joie de lire en 2020.
Dès la fin de ses études, il s'installe aux Studios Lolos, à Carouge et travaille de manière indépendante sur des commandes publiques et privées, se concentrant sur deux bandes dessinées: une adaptation du roman « Derborence » de C.-F. Ramuz (Helvetiq en 2022), et un projet collaboratif avec JP Kalonji et Yrgane Ramon, illustrant la vie de trois jeunes mineurs réfugiés non accompagnés. (Helvetiq 2022)
En 2022, avec l'association GenevAfrica, il se rend au Bénin pour le projet de correspondances épistolaires, avec Djamile Mama Gao. Ce projet conduit par Max Lobe, voit le jour aux éditions BSN press, avec entre autres, les correspondances de Marion Emonot et Jérôme Tossavi.
En parallèle, il se produit sur scène avec des concerts dessinés, notamment avec l'Orchestre suisse italien, en 2023, ou encore en mai 2025, avec le violoncelliste Lionel Cottet et le pianiste Jorge Viladoms à la Société des Arts de Genève.
Installé à Malaga depuis janvier 2024, il partage un atelier nommé Entreplanta au coeur de la ville, avec d'autres artistes locaux. Fabian Menor se définit avant tout par le plaisir de dessiner, de raconter une histoire sous n'importe quelle forme pour la partager.
Born in Geneva in 1997, Fabian Menor started publishing small strips on current events, featuring a character named Pancho, in a local Geneva newspaper, with the support of Zep.
He began a training in graphic design, and after graduating in 2017, he continued his studies at the ESBDI (Higher School of Comics and Illustration). For his graduation project, he created a graphic novel about his grandmother's childhood, which earned him the Caran d'Ache Prize, as well as a publication with La joie de lire in 2020.
After finishing his studies, he moved to the Lolos Studios in Carouge and worked independently on public and private commissions, focusing on two graphic novels: an adaptation of the novel Derborence by C.-F. Ramuz (Helvetiq, 2022), and a collaborative project with JP Kalonji and Yrgane Ramon, illustrating the lives of three young unaccompanied refugee minors (Helvetiq, 2022).
In 2022, with the GenevAfrica association, he traveled to Benin for an epistolary correspondence project with Djamile Mama Gao. This project, led by Max Lobe, was published by BSN Press, featuring, among others, the correspondences of Marion Emonot and Jérôme Tossavi.
At the same time, he performs on stage with live drawing concerts, notably with the Swiss Italian Orchestra in 2023, and in May 2025 with cellist Lionel Cottet and pianist Jorge Viladoms at the Société des Arts in Geneva.
He moved to Malaga in January 2024, sharing a studio called Entreplanta in the heart of the city with other local artists. Fabian Menor has diversified his graphic style and defines himself by the pleasure of drawing and telling stories in all forms in order to share them.
